WHAHAPPENED!?

"...The Maxim, designed by Maxwell Johnston is the next generation creek boat. With an extremely flat planning hull it is very agile and fast. The chines run from bow to stern making for a very fast easy to paddle boat. With moderate rocker and full length chines this boat is fast, dry and boof friendly. If you are looking for a boat to rip the steeps to pieces this is it. As well as this boat handles the creeks it is just at home on big water. The deep bow and stern keeps this boat dry no matter the type of water that you prefer. The planning hull makes this boat surf and play with the best of them. For what this design lacks in primary stability it more than makes up for in secondary stability..."

The Maxim finally died and Mohawk is too busy covering orders right now to fix Tom up.

Ok, we need details (and pics) of the death of the Maxum.

How dead is it?

Will it make a nice planter or beer tub?

Would it make a good funeral boat to be burned at sea?

Yeah, I agree with Logboatin, if your Maxum is in basically the same condition as it was for Dog Days then it can be saved. If you need help, we can put some Kevlar on the ends, inside and out, to repair the dents/holes and then a set of wooden gunwales and the Maxum will be serviceable again.

We could also add some composites to add some stiffness to the hull if you want.

Let me know if I can help. I live close to State College.

Maxim is still river worthy Class IV and below. My experience from last season has taught me enough to know two things - need stability when running the steeps - and need beater boat to run into the ground in 6 months (The price of glory).

I'd like to keep the Maxim in working condition for others to paddle next season - so I'm not trying to destroy it -

Cheap Royelex boat or Good deal on plastic boat - help a brotha out!? I'll be at GauleyFest and possibly BeaverFest

Joe - I bet you do have a kayak....

PS - I did have a Viper11, but I sold it for Mohawk - as I had a buyer

Sounds like you need a Prelude or Finkenmeister Tom.... or have one of the composite builders build you a bomber boat (would likely weigh the same as what you are used to, but be beefier and easily repariable:) ).
Keep the C!
