you got that right! that thermometer is one car gadget i love.
i don't think twice untill the thermometer drops below 40. that's my magic number. above that is fine (fleece onesy and a second fleece top) below that is COLD... for me. Then i start adding way too many layers.
i'm in a c1 so ....

I bought a kokatat fleese union suit for my wife and it is nice. For myself I wear a guide gear sleeveless union suit ($20 from sportmansguide.com) and add a fleese top if it's really cold.

For the most part I would rather be a little cool but I am warm blooded to begin with. One thing, if you get too warm there is always some nice cool water handy.
