wheelboy

The wheelboy sounds like an incredible boat. It is exiting to hear about new and innovative c-1 designs especially for playboating. When converting kayaks to c-1s the volume distribution has been a problem for me.(not enough in the stern) As a result I am as far forward as I can go until my thighs are squashed against the cockpit rim. Anyways I am sold on the design of the wheelboy and cant wait to own one. I wonder how the wheelboy would perform in class4 big water to make it to those super juicy play spots. I guess what I am wondering is how is the wheelboy as far as river running. Thanks.

WB. RIVER PERFORMANCE

Hi

To be honest this answer is based on nothing but a feel. I have never taken my wheelboy to run any harder stuff. :-)

Wheelboy is pretty full on playboat for goofing of on playspots. I was never designed to run anything harder. The hull is pretty fast so ferries are ok.... if you aren't heavy you float ok and make it cross boily currents. The balence is awesome because the hull is wide, but it has pretty close to minimal rocker on back so watch out for that a bit.

If you can run your section on other 6 + ft. playboats you can run it on WB. Under 78 kg you will be just fine for many harder runs.
