The C2 Boats link on the left nav bar of CBoats lists John Kaz as the designer.

That's a mistake. I believe the designers are the Harri'. John and Charlie Harris that is.

I second Kaz..

I second Kaz on that: I recall the Skeeter as the boat the Harri designed .. for a matched, lightweight pair.

I have a HUGE update in the works with many, many new images. Ken and I are also working on a redesign to make managment a bit easier. To all those that have sent in updates (especially images) THANK YOU and they WILL get posted...probably sooner rather than later as soon we'll be in the "off" season between boating and skiing....

Thank you for your patience,
Adam
P.S. Skeeter mistake fixed...I don't want to be spreading misinformation!

Also on you oc rec page you have the wrong designer for the Savage Skeeter....it was Frankie Hubbard. His first plastic boat I think.
Jimp

and the Ocoee has no designer listed

Wasn't that Frankie as well?

I have confirmed that he designed the Ocoee (and will be updating that very shortly) BUT I have not confirmed he designed the Skeeter...anyone have any official info? I know Mark Scriver did design a couple of that type of boat...and as i recall I originally heard he designed the skeeter.... Thanks for helping me research this!!

Skeeter OC1 designer

Post by the great gonzo »

Sir Adam,

According to "Thrill of the Paddle", the instructional OC playboating book written by Paul Mason and Mark Scriver, the Savage Skeeter OC1 was designed by Frankie Hubbard.
This shows very much in the lines of the boat, except for the moulded in decks it's lines are very similar to the ones of the Dagger Ocoee and the Pyranha Prelude, which were both also designed by Frankie.
As far as missing designer info is concerned, the Superfly was also designed by Frankie Hubbard. The Shaggy Designs Sith (can't wait to get mine built!) was, as all SHaggy boats, designed by Martin Du Toit and Gwyn Ashcroft, while the Robson Finkenmeister was designed by Thomas Fink, hence the Name.
Everyone must believe in something. I believe I'll go canoeing - Henry David Thoreau

Which??

Er-are we not discussing 2 different boats here?

The original query seemed to be about a slalom C-2

Suddenly, the later posts seem to refer to an OC-1
