I am curious of the the good and bad points of this boat. SO far I have people say "It's not a particularily bad boat" but no real elaboration. Please help. :-?

Sequel

Post by Scott C »

Only know one guy who has one. He told me he wished he hadn't have bought it. :x He told me it is not forgiving the way Bob Foote boats are and yet wasn't as responsive as an ocoee or hard chimed boats. I never padeled it my self but, I just didn't like the design. If you want a playfull open boat look at the Ocoee. Tell Don (Evergreen) to get more in this spring. :P Ps you have to special order the sequel so be sure it is what you realy want because the is no returning it and it my be hard to unload.

Surprising the Sequel hasn't been more popular....Personally I prefer the Sequel to the Ocoee- I find it to be very fast and responsive. What most people don't enjoy at first is the lack of primary stability. As usual, must paddle one to see how you like it but I'd much prefer it to Ocoee/detonator/Zoom. Advantage over Prelude and Prodigy (which I also like) is carrying capacity for camping. They also seem to last quite well- it may be possible to pick up a used one in good condition quite cheap.....
