Falk, Flo - thanks for the links to the videos and galleries :)

I have a question for 2011 ECBA -> long yellow We-no-nah - what is the model?

It's a Wenonah Edge. Lightning fast slalom boat, not built anymore...

Right and wrong.

Right: it's an Edge from We-no-nah.

Wrong: it is manufactured again, at least in Europe. I know of a Swiss guy who has the mold and is laminating it.
"A canoe trip?" he said. "There ain't nothing to go down there for."
"Because it's there," Lewis said.

Look forward to seeing you all soon on a river!

Next year...back to the roots of the ECBA! Berner Oberland: 9-12 May 2013. Book your calendars now!

We will be there, is it based on the Simme ?

@ Sandie_

Next years armada will be based at the Simme afaik (which makes sense since the Simme has whitewater for everyone: from mild to reasonably wild). Matt is checking the available campgrounds, the club hut will probably be too small. All details will be posted in time...

Hi y'all

I checked out the different camping options last weekend. Looks like the best possibility is the "rough camping" just above Heidenweidli. Plenty of space and right on the river, but no showers, etc. There are also hotel rooms (I think), or the GlobePaddler cabins (dorm style with kitchen and social rooms) for rent directly across the river.

The alternative is the new camping ground in Oberwil, but that isn't on the river (5mins away). It is fully equipped, however, and would have enough space - but no trees.

The club hut is a bit small, and the main issue is that there is no parking area for campers, and limited parking in general.

Cheers!

Hmmm....new country, new rivers...-
Still not enough c-boaters....
