GAULEYFEST 2012 CAMPING
I thought I'd start a new thread for camping......
I'm in the process of reserving a group spot at Mountain Lake near the Summersville airport.
They have a pretty nice campground there. It's a little more reserved than the festival grounds and there's a reasonable chance of a good nights sleep.
They have told me in the past that the group spots can hold as many as will physically fit on the site We've had about 15-18 in the past with no problems.
I will post a price and more details as soon as I get them.
Who's in?

Re: GAULEYFEST 2012 CAMPING
The GauleyFest grounds were really quiet last year because the law shut off all power (lights, music, etc.) at midnight I believe. I am sure they will do the same this year.
Sorry I cant make it to GauleyFest this year, have fun and be safe.

Re: GAULEYFEST 2012 CAMPING
I'm staying at G-fest..the rationale being that the camping is included with the G-fest fee. If I'm going to pay to get into the festival grounds then I might as well just stay there...unless we get there too late, after Upper Yough, and they're booked up...then I'll see you by the airport!

I'll have a tent set up at the Fest. But if I really need some quiet time I'll sleep in the truck as plan B. I'll be there thurs- Monday.

Update:
I finally got in touch with the campground. I reserved and paid for site #350, which was the last group site availble for the Fest weekend. It will be about $8.00 per night per person. I have it reserved for September 14th and 15th.
The campground informed me that #350 is a smaller site, but I think we'll be ok with the number of folks that have camped there in the past.
So far I've got 10 people that have expressed intrest in the reservation. If we can't fit more than that on the site you'll have to make your own plans. I don't know the exact number that will fit, but in the past they have said they will accomodate us......

Would you like a check now, or cash on the 14th?
