I wouldn't throw the Nitro in there as one of the options. That's a big, stable canoe that really lacks in the acceleration department. I think someone who likes canoes like the Outrage and Prodigy would not be happy with a Nitro. It is a good playboat for a bigger paddler.

Thanks for the info; I think I have a good idea what to keep an eye out for and/or seek out to test. Like the acquisition of my other boats, I just have to bide my time until a convergence of funds and an affordable deal arrives.

In the meanwhile, I'm going to maximize time with my son while he's up here (for part of the summer).
