So, it's freakin raining like a bastard today in the northeast! anyone paddling anywhere cool?? I'm hoping to run Clarendon Gorge in Rutland. I've had my eye on it for a long time. I was scouting yesterday when I ran into two guys with skis on their car. They had just skied at Killington for the day.
They looked at the boat on my car and I looked at their skis and we both shook our heads. Back when I was obsessed with skiing, I never would have imagined being in the shadow of killington peak and having better things on my mind than skiing!
that's paddling for ya

Too bad you can't ski in the summer and reap the benefits of cold water boating. Sunny and 40 degrees, there is nothing like it, no crowds, beautiful scenery, oh yeh, and did I mention no crowds. I am always amused by the looks from skiers cruising to the mountains as I pass them on the way to the river w/ an openboat on the racks. Let it flow.
