I messed up & bought a copy of the dvd 'Metal Flakes'. Now I want to try mild mysteries . Maybe just go under & come right back up to see what it's like.
Looks like the river's going to be up too high to have rapids for a while longer . I'm having fun doing stern squirts in the Viper (full cut). I'm 190lbs & can't get the bow down in the Viper.
Adam, how's the Maven? It looks a little narrow, but how does it feel? Should I try an Acrobat? Should I chop the Viper?
Oh, I want it to surf great too...& be fast, stable & forgiving Yeah, I know that's asking for way too much.
What do y'all think?
Thanks,
Mike W.
Thinkin' about a real squirt boat

Acro
For your weight, get an Acrobat. The Maven would be a real submersible!
If you want some forward speed (better for ocean / front surfing too) get a "standard cut" acrobat
If you want better mystery potential, and faster / easier cartwheels, go for the "master cut" acrobat.
If I recall correctly "Mel" of "KK and Mel" was thinking about selling an Acro in the SE a while back...nice looking one too. I'm not sure if it's still for sale though, or how to reach Mel.
An Edge would most likely be a bit too high volume, and I'm not sure about an Aerobat (if you unearth an Aerobat, let me know-I'm looking for one for the "Collection"!).
FWIW both Angst and PS Composites have Acrobat molds....
You could also look around for a cut down slalom boat (I wouldn't cut the Viper down...you'd still have too much volume in it due to the hull / deck shape and width)
Good luck
