rolling video online?

Post by sbroam »

Is anybody aware of any online video of the C-1 roll? Preferably including footage from underwater? There were some links from an old post on this forum that appear to be broken now.

I have a digital camera capable of shooting brief movies and I will try to get a clip of a roll recorded soon. However, I'm not sure the best way to get it from underwater. I don't have a waterproof enclosure and I don't think I'm going to trust my camera to a Ziploc bag!

Aquapac waterproof cases

Do a Google search for "Aquapac waterproof cases". I haven't personally tried it yet but it seems like it might be your answer

Thanks!

Thanks for the input on the Aquapac cases - that's a more economical solution than I had seen before. In fact, I just ordered one. There will be at least one online C-1 rolling video on line in the near future! If I can fit the old open boat in the pool, maybe I'll get an open boat roll shot, too...

I have about 15 mins of various rolling vids on a video camera from the winter. I'll try and get them online at some point in the next couple of weeks. Nothing underwater.

good, bad, and ugly

Post by sbroam »

My father-in-law shot some video of me rolling this weekend - that's good.

The quality, well, that's maybe bad - it's harder, at least with our set up, than we thought it would be. I didn't realize how fast I was going either... Some tips on viewing :

1. save the linked file locally - the quick time viewer will give you more control when you open it locally (esp. size)
2. grab the slider and you can control the play back

Now for the ugly - the camera bag leaked the last time we used it and fried the camera... I don't know exactly what happened, whether it didn't get closed correctly or what , but about a half cup of water got in and that's all she wrote. And now I don't think I can trust that bag again...
