getting warm soon!

Post by MotorCityOC-1 »

Anybody who's hoping to take advantage of the warm temps that'll be hitting the Southeastern US in the next few days should:

A. do a naked rain dance in their front yard

B. check the gaskets on their drytop

C. respond to this message (publicly, in order to generate some 'buzz.')

I'm unemployed, I haven't paddled in 7 or 8 weeks, and school doesn't start 'til the 10th. And I'm cold!!! I'm heading South to someplace where there's good water and the high temps will be in the sixties. If anybody else is interested in becomming a part-time paddling bum starting this Thurs or Fri- let me know. I'd do a long weekend, or if it stays warm, I'd do up to 7 or 8 days.

Or perhaps you'd like to 'host' a paddling bum locally...

I need it bad!

Kevin

Hey Kevin, Warming up? But it was so much fun paddling yesterday. Snow everywhere, water 44, air 33. The Roanoke is too high for the good rapids to be exposed  , but it was fun playing on eddylines in the Acrobat :P

Sorry I can't get out & paddle this week (on call sucks). I'm leading a trip for our club on Jan. 8 & 9 on the Appomattox. It's a nice trip, but probably not worth your drive. Club trips are for 'members only', but I'm the trip leader & my buddies are invited. What are they going to do, fire me from being a volunteer trip leader :-?
