Here are the dates for releases on the North Branch of the Potomac :D :

April 16 - 17
April 30 - May 1
May 14 - 15
May 28 - 29

I will not be there the weekend of May 28 - 29. The other dates look good for me though. What works for y'all?

I plan to paddle my Acrobat (1/2" cut) this year :P . If folks want to try them I can bring:

Viper - full cut
Wildwater boat - if I don't destroy it by then, don't know which model, but it was built in '75
Big EZ
Amp - possibly for sale

Boats that I hope someone else brings so I can try:
Wheelboy
glass Atom

I hope somebody brings an Evergreen Prowler, I'd really like to paddle one to see how it compares to an OldTown Kennebec.

I don't know how a Prowler will compare to a Kennebec, but I'm sure the Prowler will haul a fair amount of BEER also.

It's never too early to start planning this. The last couple of years, folks have been starting to round up to paddle somewhere on Friday - one year the Yough, one year there was too much water, last year it was the James in Richmond. I've been toying with the idea of arranging for a Davey Hearn clinic wherever we go...

Looking at our calendar so far, I don't have any obvious conflict with any of those dates...

I like the idea of having a clinic with Davey Hearn on Friday. What about a joint effort with Davey & Jon Lugbill? What is everyone else interested in? I'm thinking slalom type work with a little (or a lot of :D ) squirt boat stuff thrown in too.

I prefer either of the 2 middle weekends. I can't go the last weekend. I'm on call the 1st weekend. If there is a large group that wants the April 16-17 release I may be able to swap on calls :-? .

If it is a go from April 30 - May 1, I would be interested in a Davey Hearn/ Jon Lugbill clinic. Our group will be in the area for paddling those rivers and that would be a great way to cap off a fantastic week.

If the dates are still up for discussion...

I'm not available for the middle 2 dates, but could bring the whole Esquif Fleet for the first or the last.

Let me know,
David
