Necky Rip as a C-1 ?????

Post by Scal »

I have someone who is willing to trade me is Necky Rip for a kayak paddle I have never used.

My question is, as anyone converted a Rip into a C-1 ? Good , Bad ??

Thanks

I've never tried one, but I think the Rip would be a great C-1. I was looking for a Rip when I found my latest boat (Forplay). The Rip is wide & long. It looks like it surfs great as a K-1. I hear they're real good in the ocean too. The obvious drayback if you're fat like me is the narrow Necky cockpit openning. Not a problem if you're 1-skinny, 2-flexible & can fit under the openning, or 3-heat & stretch the rim.

Let us know how it performs if you get it.
