C1 Squirt UK

Post by Col »

Hi

Shown below is a picture of my Squirt boat a Hellbender which i am trading in for a Meltdown C1 made by Downtime here in the UK, as you will agree the quality looks pretty good, my Meltdown will be the same design as this.

I will post the pic of my Meltdown as soon as i have it in a few weeks. I know the guys who make these so if anyone from the US or anywhere else is interested i can help out, p.s i am not sponsored or on commision, but understand the need for C boating and sometimes how hard it is to get boats.

Col, neat looking boat. I like the blue/metal-flake flames over carbon. Are the flames pigmented resin?

I can't think of anything better to do w/ /a kayak than to trade it for a C-1  Good move!

Downtime

Post by NZMatt »

Hi Col
I'd heard about the Meltdown, but wasn't sure if they were still making it since I hadn't been able to find any info. If you ever get over to Switzerland, drop me a line...I've got a Groove and an Acrobat and would love a squirt partner for a trip.
Cheers,
Matt

Meltdown

Hello,

The flames were sprayed glitter over the carbon. Think the new Downtime boats are going to be glass and poly only just to keep the costs down. Although all the fancy graphics still available.

I am about to put an order in so if anyone else needs a Meltdown C1 drop me a PM as long as you can sort shipping out to wherever you live from either Liverpool or Manchester airport in the UK i can get your boat there.

I am about to get some final figures on boat costs tonight but it is looking like about £600 GBP at a guess. Will post costs tommorow.

NZMatt, If i ever come over i will be in touch for some Swiss Squirting C1 action.

Cheers

Downtime Meltdown C1 Squirt

Some updates for those who don't know the dimensions of the boat.

Length 270cm

Width 65cm approx

The deck size is slightly larger than a C1 slalom

I am hoping my boat will be slightly modified and shorter than this. Will update when I have my new boat with pictures.
