Legend 15 or 16?
Hey guys i need some opinions. For a tandem whitewater tripper and general river runner should i go for a Legend 15 or 16? Does the extra foot make a significant difference? Any strong opinons?

IMO I would get the 16 if you will almost always be paddling tandem, and the 15 if you almost always be solo tripping.

Are you looking at an old Dagger model or the the new Mad River model since they are now back in production? If you decide on the Mad River, I would be interested to know what the fit and finish is like...
My personal opinion on a tripper would be for the 16 footer, but I like to go on the comfortable side tandem or solo...

Ill Get the 16
I will be doing mostly tandem paddling, I always thought the 16 would be the better bet. Mainly I just wanted to know if one was the original model or somehow inherently better. I will be getting the MR Legend 16, I will report back.

My father owns a Dagger Legend 16' and paddles it solo. It's a stable canoe and two intermediate paddlers can navigate it in up to class lll rapids. As a solo 16'er it holds its own in the white stuff. Loaded down with gear solo it's not going to let you down. I would personally buy a Old Town 17' Tripper for tandem runs with heavy gear. I paddled one solo (webbed seats) for years and it took me many miles safely.
IMO, the 15' Legend would be a better solo.
Enojoy your new canoe.

The Rogue
I Agree the Rogue is a great wilderness tripper. Im looking for something in the middle, capable of multi days but also enjoyable on class II/III fun runs. Plus im getting a smoking deal and always have access a Rogue.
