[NEOC Slalom Rules]

I would like to take the time to thank Connie Minor and Sam Montague for the great job they did in the preparation of two Nationals and the hosting of one over a short time span. We went through the bid process last fall and awarded the race to a site where construction was just beginning. Connie stepped forward at that time to help shepard the NWC group and fend off a lot of naysayin criticism. Then late in the game, it became apparent that the race would not happen at Charlotte. A big thanks also to WD and NOC for stepping up to fill the void. The National Forest Service and Duke Energy got permits issued in record time and water set for the event. Then everyone pitched in and we have had a fine Nationals. Connie and Sam both spent way to many hours every day and night during the races putting together logistics and medals and all the other little things that must get done. They delegated a bit, but took on themselves, as much as each was able to handle. Now, we have scores posted and can start the trash talking for who will beat who next year. Good Job Guys! Take a while and relax.
