Where's the Vid ???
Isn't the Gatineau Awesome ? And most of the times we go (1,5hrs away from home) we're all alone.
Small anecdote on the Gat. 10 years ago, before the fest and when there were no camp sites at the put in and take out, we use to park along side the roads. One morning we got there, there was a no parking sign in the middle of the woods !!! The land owner then caught up to us and mentionned that the company that wanted to build a dam on the Gatineau had rented the land where we parked and did not want any tree huggers, or paddlers on THEIR river... I mentionned to the man that if he charged for parking and camping, in a few years when that river would become very popular, he'd make a lot more money from ecotourism then from these dam developpers.(we parked there anyways and nothing happened)
He didn't listen, now he's screwed with camp sites at each end of the run. Hopefully we see more and more paddlers on that still threatened river !!!
When your rivers are empty you know where to go... this one always flows and all levels are very interesting !
See you there ! or give me a shout if you need assistance !

hope this link works
www.cliveseye.com/main/default.asp
Well I can't access the video from work but this was the main link and option 2 was "le mur" I wanted to make sure the link worked- but forgot to paste it- earlier
The Gatineau was a really beautiful river, and the SWAG was awesome- the fleece jacket with luciphers anus is my most prized apparrell- it's a shame hydro companies think of the water as "theirs"
-I'll definately post when I'm able to head up again. There are a lot of Canadian Festivals I think would be fun- I love how open the paddling community is- Like wise post if you ever head this far south- We now have an artificial water flowing year round- I hear it's warm too
MSIMS almost made it for a paddling trip last year on the way to sunny Fl
