I thought it was a pretty darn good rant.

"it's nice to see canoes covered in something other than Rapid Magazine"

Followed up with a Shameless plug,

"With almost 1,000 registered members from all over the world, and about 10 times as many lurkers, I have been told it (CBoats.net) is the whitewater canoe site on the the Internet"

For the curious...

For those who don't receive Paddler, and those that would like to read what I actually wrote (I'm fine with the editing that took place):

----------------------------------
First off, many praises and Thanks for the Canoe issue! As a CBoater (Slalom, rec, squirt C1 and Wildwater C1) it’s nice to see at least canoes covered in something other than Rapid!

I do have one note, however – there appears to be an omission of something I hold near and dear to my heart – cboats.net. with almost 1000 registered members from all over the world, and about 10x as many lurkers, I’ve been told it is THE white water canoe (open and decked) site on the internet (which warms my heart greatly considering the effort I and a few friends put in to it as a “hobby”). For a time it was listed as the ACA site of the week / month, so I know at least someone is aware of it…but it never seems to make a mention in Paddler. I’m hoping this e-mail might change that for future issuesJ. I’d be happy to share the story of the ‘virtual CBoat Museum’, as well as the forum, and the “real” CBoat collection of 30 or so boats, including oddities like Corran Addison’s Oxygen and my own Maven (both squirt C1’s).
