Classic Mad River tandem lake canoe, trade for river canoe?

My friend has a 1980 classic Mad River canoe. He is not sure what kind but it is but he is interested in selling it for about $550 or trading it for a canoe more suited for rivers. Anyone interested in a lake canoe can contact Ben at benbouser@yahoo.com :o
