Dagger Kingpin Icon

Just wondering if anyone has tried a Dagger Kingpin Icon as a C1. I tried it quickly as a kayak and was impressed with it, but I only got to try it on some small waves. Should I invest in the Kingpin, or should I hold off and try to get a Vision 56 or Project 52?
