Old Town H2 Pro?

Post by s2welee »

There is one on our local craigslist for $300 outfitted. That seems a bit high to me but I was looking for opinions. If it is high, what would be a a fair offer be?

If the hull is not in need of immediate repair, and the outfitting is usable for you, $300 is a very fair price. The question is, do you want that particular design?

I paddled with a guy that had one this weekend and it looked like an interesting boat. I cannot find much about it online, other than it was made in the early 90's for about 4 years and that most people call it bomb proof. Any insights?

As I recall, it was not remarkable or terrible. It is a "servicable" design, if in usable condition it could be worth that.

My first OC-1 was an H2Pro. I'd never wanna go back to one but it was a good first boat. I wouldn't mind being in an H2pro if I ever got to paddle the Grand.

I don't know what the difference is between royalex and Old Town's Oltanar Royalex but I will say that I have an Old Town Cascade and that boat seems to be more resistant to gouges and dents than any other royalex boat I own or have ever owned.
