Birmingham Canoe Club

Hello all. I was interested in hearing from anyone who knows anything about the Birmingham Canoe Club, or any other clubs in Alabama. I am a total beginner and figure I should start out by joining a club in my area. I would like to know if anyone out there would recommend BCC or any other club. If you have participated with any clubs in Alabama, tell me about it. I would love to know what your experience was like. Thanks
