Shawn, Chris, Dan and myself will be in the Pouder Canyon on the 6th of August. Hopefully the water will hold. Come on openboaters join us. 
He knows quite a few good OC runs out there.

Does Roy drive a Volvo?
There was one with IL plates in Salida with a Ledge and Fly on top on Sunday.

Usually head to the Ark around that time - but I might stick around for the poudre if there is water - and there is a good chance there will be. How to get a hold of you? No cell service in the canyon.

It's the highest water year ever so there will still be plenty of water in August. It's running 5 ft right now!

We will be at Glen echo on Saturday afternoon, it is around Rustic. Going to the Ark on Tuesday, come home on Friday. Look for 4 Ledges.

Roy told me last week that he was on his way home.
Spent four days this past week paddling in the Poudre Canyon. Flow is slowly dropping, but afternoon rains are in the forecast and it caused a rise last week.
Boated Clear Creek into Idaho Springs and the Numbers on my way back south. Clear Creek would make a good stop on the way to the Ark.
I'll likely be up for another trip to the Ark while you are here and can go during the week.
If you can stay after 8/12, there's a whitewater release scheduled for the NF South Platte that weekend. Bailey Canyon is one of the best class IV creeks in the state with a few V's you can choose to run or not. If not up for Bailey, Foxton makes a nice class III run downstream.

cadster, how does the gage on the rock in the pouder relate to the AW colorado gage page?

I'm not a frequent Poudre paddler, but locals say there's poor correlation between the online gage and the boater's gage. My old CRC has 2' as 330 CFS and 3' as 650 CFS.

The Poudre is running 3.4 ft right now. That's a fairly stout level to be canoeing on the Poudre but you guys will still have a blast on the Upper Mish section down through Poudre Park and the Brides.
You can also do the rustic sections at that level too. The Narrows is cranking at 3.4 ft
