Bag cage lacing

Post by Jeffrey Ward »

I need to replace some worn out bad cage lacing on a Mohawk Viper 12. How much cord should I order to replace the lacing on both the front and back of the boat? I don't have the boat with me, so I cannot measure myself. Thanks.

At my local outdoor store, they have bags of 100 feet of P-cord for $7. Depending on what style you end up tying, a bag cage can take anywhere from 20-40 feet per airbag, but for a solo boat, you shouldn't need all of the 100 feet in a bag.

Hope this helps,
