Was "it's my first time running this" one of the t-shirt excuses? :D Congrats!

I took Bob over to ALF. This was his first time to run the Tellico. He only saw the Ledges on the way up. Driving over I asked him if he was running Bayless Boof of the Upper Green over and over would he feel comfortable- he said yes. I said go for it- the race that is. He was in an Ion, strokin and boofin hard.
Go Bob!

Dang it! Now I can't use the "short boats are slower" line when I'm lagging behind in my Ion.

Congrats Bob! I'm going to use your accomplishment as motivation. Is your Ion red? Must be- I don't know if you would've been fast enough in blue or black.

So Bob, here's what everyone wants to know: What was your race strategy?

ummmm.........., good question. i didn't really have one. i wasn't even really in it to win until i dropped the first ledge and started feeling better. after that, just paddle like h***, stay dry so i didn't have to dump anymore, and remember what i'd seen on my way up (walking [read scouting]) to the put in. and did i mention paddle hard?
