Looking for info on some older river guide books

Ok, back in the early 80's I ran across these river guide/white water books that were sort of like comic books. Hand drawn pictures, some poking fun between kayakers, C-1'ers and squirt boaters. The one I remember in particular was about the area around Harpers Ferry.
Anyone know the books I am talking about? What are their names and is there any way to get copies?

Definitely William (not Bill) Nealy. Great guide books, lots of "in-house" humor.

Those are great books- good information and very funny. While boats and paddlers have advanced a great deal since then the humor holds true today. I still have an old Neely T-shirt- it shows an open boat with two paddlers going down river with cows glaring at them from both sides of the river- titled Wicossin Whitewater. Any Cheesehead paddler interested in the shirt (free)? I think it is still in a drawer somewhere.

I have a lot of Nealy's books but don't really want to part with them. I think what you are thinking of is Whitewater Home Companion Southeaster Rivers by William Nealy volume 1 and 2. They were published by Menasha Ridge Press in HIllsborough, North Carolina. William has passed away and I don't know if the publisher is still in business. My copies are wore and dirty but still wouldn't want to part with them, maybe you could get them from my family after I'm dead and gone.Hope this helps and you can find them, I have spent many hours with them.
