Wait until Antiques Roadshow comes through.

I had a yellow Romer back in the late 70s.

I dropped it on the pavement while loading gear in the car, and it broke in two. :o

Honestly? For someone who wants whitewater memorabilia it probably has some value (ebay?). For actual use, no way I'd put it on my head. Materials degrade over time, and it's just not worth the risk. My 18 year old composite helmet is about to be retired, and I probably should have done so a few years back. It looks like new, has never taken any really hard hits (thankfully!), just a few good scrapes, but it flexes much more than it did when Resin Heads popped it out of the mold.
