Soul Waterman's Fanatix
There is a new plastic C1 on the market. It is the Fanatix by Soul Waterman, designed by several top C1ers, Jon Lugbill and Corran Addison included. This is big news for the C1 community. It IS pricey at $1800 dollars! It looks very playful and is claimed to be a good general river runner. I am interested! Does anyone have any river experience with the Fanatix??

Yep. Saw that website already. Is it too early for anyone to have had any river experience with the Fanatix?
Thanks.

Same weight +/- 44-45 lbs as Dagger Atom with more volume 75 vs 66 Gallons.
6" shorter.
6" shorter.

That looks pretty good. Might be kind of weird though not getting hassled by kayakers for paddling an open boat. Lol

Just ordered the Fanatix. It will be awhile before it arrives. Will give a review after some experience with it.

Saw the images on FB a bit back...interesting! Ian T. said some nice things about it, as did others, yet I'll wait until the mortals have a go with it. Looks promising!

Re: Soul Waterman's Fanatix
Making a plastic C1 is a rare gamble and if they do not get enough orders, production may be cut short. Keep that in mind. The Fanatix seems to be a winner, but the last 2 plastic C1's (the Robson Finkenmeister and Drakkar Wheelboy) were not financially successful. The C1 community is small and difficult to please.
