Re: Paddle Recommendation?
Werner paddles are light and have a nice feel but their blades wear out quickly. If I were purchasing paddles for beginners on white water I would go for AquaBound. They are tough and cheap. Admittedly they don"t have the same feel as a top of the line stick but they get the job done.

Re: Throw Rope Thoughts?
Whatever you get practice throwing it! The waist bags are harder to throw because the rope is smaller and has less weight. In the last six months I have seen two very good boaters totally miss their targets with ropes on the first try and the second attempt was even worse. Luckily neither case was a...

Re: ALF (Class II - III)
I'll be pulling in Friday evening, hopefully to Sweetwater. Blue Jetta tdi wagon with a yellow Prodigy and possibly a red Phantom on top. Looking for the class II-III trips as well. Will paddle Sat, Sun, Mon, possibly Tuesday am. Realistically, should a class II-III boater attempt the Tellico race?...

Rolling an Option
P1050769a.jpg I have been paddling an Option for about two years now and my roll has been iffy. In whitewater I'm getting a little better than 60% of my rolls, in a pool closer to 95%. The problem seems to be at the very end of the roll. Yesterday Jordan Poffenberger looked at my form and couldn't ...
