Glad to hear your paddling again Laura. Hopefully Van will be ready to go soon.

How do you think it would do as a solo boat though? I have a friend that is interested in getting a new boat but he is a bigger guy and could probably use the extra length to his advantage.

I am roughly the same size you are and I paddle the Gus as a C-1. My brother and I both paddle them as C-1s and we love it. Granted, it is longer and has more volume, but its really like paddling a rodeo open boat. As the LiquidLogic rep says, "the Gus is for driving while the Huck is for floating"....

lap belts aka suicide straps

I am currently using a lap belt in my S6 and I was wondering what everyone's opinion them is. Luckily for me, in outfitting my boat, I also left it upgradable for thigh straps if I prefer. I will probably use those in the future but am happy with the lap belt for now. Does anyone use lap belts in th...

FS Dagger Centrifuge

I have a Dagger Centrifuge for sale. It was formerly a C-1 but I put that kayak crap back in. It is in great condition and I am willing to meet at a river in the Southeast. For a mere $300 it can be yours.

My brother paddles a Session has loves it so much he refuses to sell it. I have paddled it myself and really like it. At 170 lbs, its easy as hades to throw around. I have often found myself doing some Zero to Heroes without any problem and unintially. It is edgy, and the stability is poor until you...

I am gonna have to agree that you may not want to try to make the jump from your Viper to the Skeeter. I paddled a Skeeter last year at 175 lbs and found it tippy. I have paddled the Viper and found it a lot more stable. My friend even tried it once and he was way over the weight range (250+) and di...

I have paddled both the Viper 12 and the Probe 12. The Viper 12 is an all round great boat. Its fast, good turning ability, surfing, etc. Its a little edgy but if you get used to it, its as stable as other boats. The primary stability doesn't seem to be there but the secondary is great. Once you get...

Advice needed

Has anyone paddled a Liquidlogic Pop and a Wavesort Big EZ C-1? If so, can you tell me how they compare and which one you prefer. I am coming from a Dagger Centrifuge C1 and want something a little more playful. If anyone has any other suggestions feel free to let me know.

Super EZ C-1?

I had the privilege of running into Mike W. on the Nantahala this past weekend and got to try to his Big EZ C-1. It was awesome and I really loved it. Now, my roommate wants a Super EZ to play with. My question is, does anyone have a Super EZ C-1? He paddles a Viper 12 and wants to try C-1. He is a ...

Just remember, its not about how big or strong you are, its all technique. You can muscle thru it but its all based outta your hips and rotation of your knees in the boat. Good luck
