Re: oc boating after knee surgery...

I have yet to come back fully from my arthroscopic surgery and will probably need a second one in fact, each case is different. My C1s will probably be for sale soon after 2 years hoping I won't have to do that, but I still hope for my big boats and back at enjoying multi-days trips in another year ...

Oh well you know, when you thought you had a friend... Big brother is trying to get its hands on the only free land that's still (half) left, the internet. http://act.demandprogress.org/sign/cispa_facebook/?akid=1312.1998791.XoVJKL&rd=1&t=1 Once this is done they'll just be right to call a terrorist...

Re: C1 Creeking & Twin-Pin Rescue.

Ref how the pins happened, a piece of wood across that slot (but submerged) could have been the cause. Just a guess. My very humble take on this: if this was the case then the swimmer might have been really taking a big risk. Strainers can be among the worst of threats and a third trapped dude woul...

Re: Bhutan: C-1 Jefe Available

Bhutan: Wow. Planting C1 seeds all over the world: That's just too much, way to go. :D Posting the info here is great, but a database of available whitewater boats C1 / OC1 / K1 in foreing places would be even better... Although I guess you can always end up digging out info from different sources t...

Me would think is the same? Works great both on and offside in many a situation.

Might get substituted with the itchy-scratchy shot in some localities. :P

Re: Sweet Skills, free articles out NOW!

One word: WOW! :D I don't think I've ever seen anything quite that detailed and well-pictured over the web, really. Knowing how much work this must have represented as well, thank you so much for all of it. Through all that can be said about many fancy canoeing techniques, I also did appreciate the ...

Re: learning to roll

Good job! "I am rolling now in my esquif zephyr, the outrage in the last video is from my brother... it feels different to roll" It does. The zephyr isn't the easiest boat to roll out there, the gunnels being quite high. We can see in the vid how you hit them all the time. You could try to put your ...

Re: Question about bilge pump

The tsunami rocks, but the rule should at least pump what you have without stopping in the middle. If an air pocket is forming like this before all the water is out then your pump location drainage may needs to be worked. Look to make sure the water in the boat can flow quickly enough toward the pum...

Re: learning to roll

Actually, the mechanic isn't so bad at all, and it works! But yeah a lot of pressure on the shoulders and in moving water you will end up with a lower success rate and either hurt your shoulder or fail trying to do it stronger. As Ian said work on pushing toward the bottom of the pool to bring the b...

@phil and everyone did anything I mentionned ofend anyone / tell them to STFU with their post? If so I am sorry never meant anything like that. I thought the thread was confusing to say the least, and that ian123 did a great job at summerizing it up. Like yarnelboat I am also not sure how inwater re...
