Re: Paddling Gear and Rolling
Try taking the pin kit out and see if that changes the equation. It might be forcing you a bit higher on your sweep into the boat.

Re: skirt grab loop handle
For really cold days some chemical stripping gloves from the hardware store add that extra layer under the pogies yet still provide a good feel on the paddle.

Re: What is the Mohawk Shaman like to paddle?
I miss mine...overall a great design much faster & more nimble than the probe, rolls faster too.
The only negatives I had were:
- that the rear of the boat became quite sticky when side surfing in holes.
- sometimes it could be difficult to release the front chines when on an offside carve

Re: Drilling through minicell
Use the pvc pipe to drill the hole. Cut pipe an inch or so longer then needed. Then chamfer/ bevel one end with a file to sharpen, you can even cut a few notches in the end to make a more aggressive "bit". Use the pipe to drill out the hole, remove the pipe, cut of the excess from the sharp end and ...

You can iron - on LOW
but keep it away from the gaskets! Often you can wash the garment in nikwax techwash then hang to dry and then use a low iron to revive the DWR without using the DWR revival stuff at all, just getting the dirt off and a little heat can bring it back to life again. That said I've used the wash in pro...

I've broken two Stingrays. Sawyer fixed them, but I lost my trust. To be fair I have used Sawyer paddles on some remote trips and gotten home without problems. Never broke a jimi stick and I've been much harder on mine than on the Sawyers. They don't wear out like glass sticks, sure they wear down, ...

many colors
Esquif offers the mistral in black or green twintex. Robson offers Amerilite in Red and White. Like Cheajack said the "resin" is just poly fibers as part of the glass weave, the poly fibers melt and fuse the whole mess together when heated to the correct temp (around 400 F if I recall correctly). I ...

Trim
I have always trimmed mine to get comfortable. Very careful, one ring at a time, brand new razor with the gasket lightly stretched out on a coffee can. I try for one continuous cut around the can. Try it on, cut another ring if you still turn blue. You can always fill up a tub of water and test for ...
