We will be holding our 3rd anual canoe & kayak race this year on September 22, 2012 in Holtwood PA. This is our third year, last year we had over 80 participants and we would like to see this event continue to grow. I know this is mostly a white water page but didn't know if any of you also show int...

Re: Blue Hole Sunburst outfitting

I don't know what seats were originally used in the sunburst, but I have original aluminum bar style seats from a 17' blue hole oca that I am looking to sell. Still in good shape. I was asking $20 for the pair plus shipping if I had to ship them UPS. Only problem is I am guessing they may be to wide...

BLUE HOLE OCA 17A SEATS FOR SALE

I am selling original blue hole OCA seats. They came off of a 17A which was the 17 foot model. I don't know if they fit the more common shorter OCA's or not. Selling the pair of seats for $20, willing to ship and would find out shipping cost and add them onto the $20 price. These are the style seats...

Re: A serious question...

I both Kayak and Canoe. I prefer canoe, but to me it's about having fun on the water and not joining some allegiance or sterio type about you have to be hard core into one or the other. Why not do both? I do the majority of my paddling in a canoe as I do prefer it over a kayak for comfort (sitting) ...

Re: What next?

I canoe alot, but am pretty much a newbi when it come to the white water end of it. As someone just looking into this end of the sport and not knowing the ins and outs of how much it cost to manufacture a boat my first thought was the price. To me the future of the sport is not only the material but...

Thanks for the advice so far. I do really like my genesis but am caught up in the new short boat craze I guess. It just seems more fun without all that boat out in front of you. I will try the technique tips. I normally paddle a hundred plus miles a year, but mostly flat water and mild rivers. The w...

Maneuverability help

I am interested in others thoughts on an oc whitewater boat that isn't so overly maneuverable. I know this might not sound right when looking for a whitewater boat but for my purpose I don't think I want a boat that spins on a dime. I mostly paddle class 2 & 3 with flat water between and handling th...

Where is the love?

I agree, where is all the love for the Ion. The buzz on this little guy seems to be being overshadowed by the Option. This review doesn't count much since I paddled it on flat water which it was not intended for. But I am lucky enough to live next to the home of both the Option & Ion's prototype res...
