This is an interesting discussion and a very timely one. I have been wondering for the last week if I might have a DVT or another real problem going on in my leg. Last weekend while canoeing, I noticed the back of my right knee felt odd. It felt like it popped but it doesn't feel sore to the touch a...

The decked boat trials at Charlotte
I know a guy competing in the C-1 races this weekend at Charlotte, Joel McCune, recently of Columbia, Mo. He posted some information on the Missouri Whitewater Association message board about the races and the new Charlotte Course. If you want to see his comments about the Charlotte Whitewater Cente...

It is good to see a link to different information but I thought Keech's site was relaying the official information. It seems pretty innocuous in just linking to news reports and what information there is available. I don't think a delay in opening day for the whitewater site means that an August eve...

Charlotte Open Boat Nationals
I have been getting updates from one of the committee members and they have a link to Keech's website outlining the information available: http://users.bestweb.net/~keech/oc-2006i.htm It has information about the waterpark's construction progress as well as information on registering for the event (...

Armada
If it is a go from April 30 - May 1, I would be interested in a Davey Hearn/ Jon Lugbill clinic. Our group will be in the area for paddling those rivers and that would be a great way to cap off a fantastic week.

Thanks for the information
Those dates are great. August would be better, but anything away from 4th of July weekend makes it easier to get off. The site looks awesome. I haven't looked at a Quebec map yet to see where Cepal Jonquiere is at. The name of the river is aux sables?

Does anyone know the dates for the open boat nationals 2005?
I understand it is suppose to be in Quebec, but can someone tell me the name of the river and what city it is located near? Also the dates? We have to put in our requests for vacation for next year ASAP and I need to know what weekend to target. Looking forward to paddling in Quebec and getting to s...

Nationals in Montana
I think the question is not whether this section of the Blackfoot is too easy for national slalom racing or not. The real issue is whether there was going to be open boat racing at all this summer. With the California site going under with such late notice, I think it is very brave of Alan and his v...

How do you get a copy of the video from last year's national
How do you get a copy of the video from last year's nationals? I lost the address of the guy named Bob from Colorado who was making the videos. If someone can forward it to me, I would be very appreciative. Jacques efforts last year at Nationals did not go in vain. I ended up buying an Esquif Zoom a...

going to nationals
After reading Kalifornia Kid's post about the salmon dinner and neon light paddling and 65 degree water, I can't wait to go. I just wish he would do something about the projected 100 degree day time temperature. My husband refuses to make the long drive to California, so I am trying to find someone ...
