Re: Glass Outrage X needs repair
It is all red. I think it is from 1998. Someone said it was an early mockup to check the mold.

Glass Outrage X needs repair
I have a red MR Outrage X that needs some repair on the stem ends. It looks to me like mostly gel coat has been chipped off. I already have some Gflex, fiberglass and Kevlar skid plate material. I am researching to try to find out the best way to patch the damage. I can see fibers, but they appear s...

Re: What's the most forgiving beginner boat still made?
According to the Esquif site the Raven is wider than the Vertige. I haven't gotten to paddle a Raven but I did like the Vertige when I got to test paddle it. One thing I didn't see mentioned so far was some students typically are more aggressive than others in a class. If you are able maybe at least...

Re: DC area whitewater
I have paddled with several OC1 paddlers from the Monocacy Canoe Club in the early spring in West Virginia. They were all quite nice. Hopefully you will bump into them instead of any meanies.

Re: Phiend Prototype Clip at a Slalom
I was fortunate to get to paddle the prototype for a few minutes at the Telico. It definitely doesn't have the tipping from side to side that the Maxim had. I only test paddled the Maxim for a few minutes but I could see from the side to side tipping that it wasn't a boat for me. The prototype felt ...

Re: Upper Blackwater C-1 footage
The river looks so flat from your camera angle or something. Then you look upstream and you realize that you just ran a 6 foot drop. I like being able to see where you are picking your lines from. Great video.

I have a Stomper 90. My seat is 8 inches just like in my OC1. The Stomper seems very stable to me.

Re: Wood gunnels?
Quite a few of the Ledges have wood gunnels. Aren't they taking a beating without problems? I have put ash gunnels on one boat that originally had plastic/vinly aluminum. I have a MR Outrage X with the factory wood gunnels. I have had no problems and really like them.

Re: Mohawk "Whitewater"
Take the green one, put the black perception saddle in it, put metal deck plates on it and you have my first white water canoe. I believe it was called "Whitewater 16" by Mohawk. It weighed a ton and was tough as hades. Mine was made in the 80's. Mohawk did make some figerglass boats but I don't rem...

I am staying at Sweetwater. This is my first time at ALF. So looking forward to meeting Aunt Louie.
I am on the campsite beside #5. Can't remember if it is 4 or 6. Big white Dodge truck, camper top on back. Will be there Friday night. Want to start off easy to knock the rust off first.

Re: Lost Mitchell canoe paddle Screaming Left Turn on Chatoo
Just a note to let everyone know the paddle that I lost a few weeks ago at Screaming Left Turn was found yesterday. The irony of the situation is that it was found while looking for another paddle that was lost yesterday at Screaming Left Turn. Hopefully, that paddle turned up or will turn up soon. ...

Re: Anyone planning to produce a longer OC1 in PE?
How can you get a 51# L'Edge both with wood gunnels, bags, saddle, bulkhead, pump and battery ?
The web site says they weigh 56#. Aren't the decks 10 or 12# ?
