Nova Craft "Royalex light" experience

I was fortunate to get one of the last availible (in Europe) Nova Craft Ocoees in Royalex. It's red, meaning it is the "light weight royalex" version (17 kg for the Ocoee) and not the heavier "Royalex Plus" (which was unfortunately no longer availible). If I understand correctly the Nova Craft Royal...

Re: Follow up - OC2 saddle mods for a kid, with photos

Great idea... I'm also in the process of repairing and re-outfitting a Caption, and also want to paddle with my 7 year old son. I assume when paddling with your son you are in the stern position in stead of the centre position... how is the caption trim with a kid on the bow saddle? Does she still h...

Re: Probe 12i/13 vs Outrage x

There is a probe 12 and outrage in the group of guys i paddle with. FWIW the outrage is far preferred by everyone of us, even the owner of the probe 12. Is that the "regular Outrage" or the "Outrage X" that you're talking about.. because I believe the initial question was a comparison between the p...

Re: Level 6 Emperor drysuit

I know Kokatat is one of the best and is on top of my "wishlist", but the gore tex version is just too exensive for me and I'm not that keen on any of the "cheaper" Kokatat suits. I need a tough and durable "expedition proof" suit with reinforcements at the knees and seat area. The price difference ...

Level 6 Emperor drysuit

Looking at a dry suit as replacement for my 2 piece dry pants and paddling top.

Anyone has one of these, and what is your experience? Are they as durable as Level 6 claims...?

Re: Dagger Caption outfitting - glueing vinyl anchors to epo

That's exactely what I was planning to do, remove the inner vinyl skin over a large area and apply the glass/kevlar/epoxy laminate directely to the ABS. Plan is to first remove the vinyl skin. Then open-up and clean out the cracks where possible. The larger cracks with than be filled with G/flex 655...

Re: Dagger Caption outfitting - glueing vinyl anchors to epo

Thanks ezwater. By "regular G-flex", do you mean the G-flex 650 ? Do you use it straight from the bottles or thicken it with fillers? Most larger cracks run lengthwise, but strange enough several cracks follow exactely the circular contour of the old anchor plate/patches... So I have circular and tr...

Dagger Caption outfitting - glueing vinyl anchors to epoxy

I'm bought an old Dagger Caption that needs a complete make-over... repair on the hull interior (many cracks in the ABS inner layer below the old saddles and below old anchor patches) and she needs complete new outfitting. Plan is to repair the cracks in the hull (inside only) using G/flex followed ...

I have a Canyon, and outfitted it some time ago. See my forum topic on the myccr forum, pictures included, showing how they fit.

36" bags work fine both in stern and bow, I got mine from Gaia (standard Nylon).

I've just completed the outfitting of my new outrage 2 days ago.
on MYCCR forum a similar topic on pedestal placement for the outrage is ongoing - might be of your interest.
