Savage V made the Skeeter which was followed by the SuperFly. Then, by my unserstanding, Savage V went bust. Colin Broadway from Mobile Adventure over here in the UK then took it on and launched Sauvage (to give it a more european name due to it's new home) in about May 2000 and launched the Spanish...

Some footage from the 2007 British Champs
Hi,
Came accross some footage on Youtube last night from the 2007 British Freestyle Championships. If you scan past the 5 minutes of kayakers there's some OC1 and C1 footage showing the top Brits in action.
The link is:

Enjoy,

Thanks for that Steve, it's really good to have some advice from someone who was involved from the start. Dave at Downtime has said that he'll do the cut and float test it all and will get it right even if it takes all day so hopefully it'll be good. Just got to work out when I can afford it all now...

Well I think I may well be getting it Shredded then... I'm going to get Downtime to do the cut as Dave says he can do it it'll just be a tough job. Just a case of finding out how much it'll cost and when I can afford it. I'll keep you informed of what happens. Should be interesing though... Cool on ...

Meltdown Re-chop
Hi Reading all this squirty talk on here recently has made me really think about getting my Meltdown out again. Mine is slightly big for me however in that it's an awesome cruising/river running squirt but is too big for decent downtime. I also struggle to really get over the ends so was thinking ab...

I'd just like to say a massive welldone to all the guys that competed at the Worlds. I actually thought OC1 on Bus Eater was going to end in a lot of injured openboaters and a pretty poor show. Boy did you guys show me how wrong I was!! The show you put on once again proved that big boats going big ...

I'm now in tears and about to go and play with the traffic on the motorway!! I'm so glad that the event seems to have been a good one so far for OC1. Airblunts and that super crazy aerial back pan am thingumy bob that Jeremy pulled in practice are seriously cool. Massive respect to the guys out ther...

Nice one Jeremy!! Sounds like it was a great event to watch. As soon as I can get home and check out the vids I will. I'm sure I'm going to start getting jellous!! It looks like OC1 is having another great Worlds like it did in Oz and putting on a fine show. Well done everyone and keep it going huge...

Hi This has actually been a pretty interesting thread to read having been involved in the rules discussion out in Australia. There may be people out there who are unhappy with the state of affairs regarding the definitions of what constitutes an open canoe for freestyle. There's also going to be a l...

Well these days I'm a 24 year old home owner with a job unfortunately. I gave up OC1 last year after coming in 3rd in the Europeans. I was just getting more and more problems with my back all relating to openboating. After winning the Eurocup in 2005 I had to have 3 vertibrae, 2 ribs and the joint w...

Nice one
That boat looks really nice. Kinda reminds me a bit of a scaled down version of my cut n shut Spanishfly I used at the Worlds in Oz back in 2005. That thing used to pop on loops and I nearly landed a few but it's hard work that's for sure. Good for cleans though :-) Is it time to start seeing full o...
