Can the T-grip on this paddle be taken off without cutting? I was wondering if anyone had taken one off with a heat gun. I want to replace it, without losing much, if any, length. Also, what should I use to remove the excess plastic from the inside of the shaft if I do have to cut it?

Thanks for the responses. I thought the dates I had were right, just wanted to be sure. Too much fun to miss out on.

I never did make it up to Shoney's last year. Maybe this year, if that is still a gathering point.

I'm getting ready to put in a vacation request, and wanted to be sure about the dates for ALF this year. Would it start on Sunday March 15th and run the rest of that week? I had a blast last year, and want to make sure I'm there again this year.

Thanks Aaron. That helps me big time. I plan on dropping two bulkheads in it, and will probably hold them down with thwarts. Depending on how things go, there may, or may not be, one in the center. Boat is in really good condition. I paddled it for 2 seasons. Prior to that it had been paddled twice, then put in storage for 8-9 years. Plenty of life left in this boat.
