Re: Canoe saddle

Thank all of you for your knowledge and advice. I am having nice results with a heat gun that has an attachemnt similar to a putty knife that slides under the edge of the item as the heat softens the glue. Have not resorted to acetone for fear of damage to the interior layer of othe ABS. In my origi...

Re: electric bilge pump kits

Thank you for your helpful hints. I have decided to put one together from individual components after all to try to save a few bucks. I had looked at the various kits but thought they were a bit pricey. thanks again,

Re: Canoe saddle

The South Fork saddle system is located in Auburn, AL. I need to get advice about removal of the factory saddle. I suppose a heat gun would help with releasing the glue used to attach the various parts.

electric bilge pump kits

I am considering installing an electric bilge pump system in my 13' Recon. I do not want to collect the various parts and build it myself. I need advice on who sells the best kits at the best price. Any advice will be much appreciated. Keith

OH yes, Canots Legere in Canada makes a nice looking one for $250 but would cost $300 to get it shipped...

I am updating a post just created a few minutes ago. I have spoken with Horizons and they no longer make saddles. I have contacted Canot Le'gare' in Canada and they do make a nice looking bulkhead saddle for $251 but shipping cost by Fedex is over $300. I have called Blackfly but have not spoken wit...

Re: Mitchell canoe paddles

thank you both for your replies. Since I was thinking lighter was better I had elected to get the carbon/carbon but on strength of your experience with the wooden blade with figerglass facing, I changed my mind. NOC did have the Premier Carbon/Wood and I just ordered it. It is good to have folks tha...
