Welding a Taureau

Post by Atucky »

Has anyone tried welding a Taureau?

We have material from a hatch cutout, so that's not a problem. I just wondered if anyone has tried welding that material (T-Form Elite).

Waiting to hear back from Esquif regarding this, but though I'd ask here as well.

Thanks-

I have welded two of the older ones. I wasn't even goin to weld one, just heated one up to get a dent out and saw that the plastic was gettin hot enought to weld so I went ahead and welded the crack as well. I found it to be as easy of a plastic as any I had ever welded. I have not tried to weld one out of the higher temp plastic that Esquif went to in an effort to get the two half of the boat to bond better.

Welded one a few months ago (newer version). No problem, works just like regular poly.
