We wish!

But I've heard here's a guy in Utah who might know how to get one. Hangs out at WESTFEST. Loves paddling in blizzards. Name sounds like Murph? Surf? Turf? . . .

I believe they were available through Next Adventure Paddle Sport in Portland, Oregan: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PDXkayaker/message/42553" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, but I don't know how current that information is.

And yes, Gear30 in Utah has Big Dogs also.

I'm chasing up a list of current outfitters in the US and will post as soon as I get it. If you're desperate for a Big Dog and you don't have a local outfitter then PM me and we'll sort it out.

Cheers,

Frankie

Much appreciated, but -- um -- while you're doing that, would it be possible to include current outfitters in Canada, too?

Thanks!

I may not be the best person to offer a review. It seems to surf, boof and roll well for me.
If you would like to compare The Force to the Spanishfly, let me know when you are in Western North Carolina.
I have the best of Esquif and the Big Dogs available to demo. (in other words, no decked boats available).

OK, current outfitters:

Canada

http://www.trailheadpaddleshack.ca
1960 Scott Street. Otttawa, Ont. K1Z 8L8
613-722-4229
shop@trailheadpaddleshack.ca

These are your best bet for Canada. I've spoken to them and they still supply Big Dog Kayaks.

West Coast... Trailhead Paddle Shack mail order, but you'd have to ask them if they mail order to BC.

USA

At present you have Gear 30 http://www.gearthirty.com/, and

Great River Outfitters, One Phillips Street, North Kingstown, Rhode Island 02852 USA T: 401.667.2670 F: 401.667.2680 E: info@grokayaks.com

And I'll sort you out in the SE until I get some outfitters on board.

Cheers,

Frankie

Thanks, Frankie. It's a start.

I'm aware of a Big Dog rep. in Washington, somewhere, and have been in touch with him about arranging a demo. I don't know if he sells directly, however. I suppose we can demo with him, THEN buy from Trailhead, or GEAR:30, if we want one.

Hopefully, Big Dog will establish a strong presence in North America, and we'll see dealers spring up in the west!

(OMG, what am I thinking? Give my head a shake!)

Don't worry, Big Dog Kayaks will soon sweep the nation...

I hope you get to demo one sooner rather than later.

Good luck,

Frankie
