The past few years we have done the class II-III section of Clear Creek on Sat, then those who want to continue on the Lilly to Nemo section III-IV. If the LIttle is running the part below the ELbow is fun, and can be run twice, or- if the level is up we could then go up to Elkmont. Just depends on what river levels are. Sunday I hang near the Tellico for the race, paddle, then party.

Where have you put in on Clear Creek? Barnett Bridge, or Jett?

so....
my wife had gall bladder surgery a week ago and there are complications. I'm hopeful that the MRI will go well and I'm able to come, a good friend is on standby to come up too if all goes as we hope.

question, we'll need a place to park a VW wagon-I sleep in the car and for him to set up tent and kitchen. Anyone have room on a site? We'll share the cost, of course. Or does anyone know if there are spots available?

thanks in advance.

Call the Sweetwater KOA - (865) 213-3900

There are probably still spots available.

Looks like I will be going to the Little tomorrow. I will post on Facebook. I could meet folks wanting to paddle class II-III at the Y, where you turn to go to Cades Cove TReemont. Check Facebook and I will try to post here when the group I am paddling with decides. My family problems are keeping me from comitting to trip leading

There are folks I am waiting to here what section they are doing. I have done all 3, but put in below the sinks and skip the Elbow. If there are enough people wanting to paddle 2/3 we can do the Elbow to Y, then for those interested go upstream water level depending, otherwise I may do Sinks to Elbow.

I hope you guys had fun! I'd love to hear about some of the folks at this (I-III) level tell their stories. Did you step up?, learn anything new? are you going back? where did you stay? where will you stay next year? etc

My wife had surgery two weeks before ALF, then complications afterwards, so my ALF virginity has been prolonged another year. Tell me why I should be looking forward to it!

As a starter, you can see a set of pictures from the Class II-III group. Pictures from The Upper Tellico, Lower White, the Clear Creak and the Ocoee.

The trips I am aware of II/III (not class I trips):
Tellico middle Sat and Sun (I led)
White's Creek (Bill and Barry led)
Elbow to Y (Little River)
Clear Creek
We need more trip leaders to step up for next year- it usually happens, so if you want to paddle class II/III come to ALF next year and meet at Shoney's. IF anyone wants to paddle class I there is information on American Whitewater so that those interested could get to the lakes and rivers to paddle on their own.
