2013 CBoats Armada - Cheat Narrows / Canyon / Etc...

Memorial Day Weekend is just around the corner, and that seemed to be the most popular weekend we polled.

Camping at Teeters is the plan as with last year.

I won't be able to make it (flying out to a wedding in Missouri...), but I'll be there in spirit!

Post up if you plan on making it, and use this thread to make plans / connect with others. The last "plan" (as if we ever have one) was for one group to do the Narrows and another the Canyon... but that will of course also depend on what else is running in three weeks...

Tough time for me! Usually a family weekend in WV but on other side of State. Will put feelers out tonight as to what the family plan is and try to slip in a Cheat run!

I think I could make it up and would be interested in the canyon. Also lower big sandy or lower blackwater or similar creeks up north if they are running

I am open to sharing transport with anyone up here or on the way.

Have never been to the Cheat before, and I am looking forward to it.

Hey guys, unfortunately, we are not going to make it to the Armada next weekend as previously planned. Hopefully we'll be back up that way sometime later in the summer or early fall. Have a fantastic time!

Ok cboaters,

I am shooting for a one day down and back cboat Armada trip and have some flexability on the exact day.


So My question is, what day is the must make day of the Armada?

Any input will be appriciated!

Usually Saturday is the "main event"... but I'll leave it up to Big Al and folks that can make it to continue that tradition or swap it around.

I'll add to that - Who is coming and what is the choice of what to paddle.

If one day... Cheat Canyon? It will be at a lower level, unless there is some rain, and although more creeky in nature at lower levels is just as much fun! Gywn if you are coming you might want to bring something in plastic. If there is rain then the options are open!

I'm assuming Big Al is running this show so I deffer to him for more details.

Some friends and myself will be at the UY releases Sunday and Monday. Any chance of someone willing to show us (me) down. They are in kayaks and I am in a canoe, not worried about it just enjoy boating with open boaters because they tend to take their time.
