Boat of the Week - Millbrook Amoeba

Post by Sir Adam »

Since this is a short week I've picked a boat I know only a few have paddled, but I think more would purchase if you did - the Millbrook Amoeba. For those looking for a nice cruising boat that surfs, it's great. Fast too. I'd think you could use it for tripping too if you pack light-ish (it's decked boat... there is only so much room!)

If you are one of the few that have paddled one, please post up! I'm not even sure how many are in existence (I know of one, but assume there is at least one more out there... Kaz?)

Mine absorbed two helpless swimmers, and then split into two Amoebas, right under me!

looks like you have got the only one.
i think i have one of the few super dynamics.
that river in your pics looks real nice, btw.
i think if the name was changed,
it might sell better..who wants to sit in an ameoba?
maybe "the tear" or "the notorious".

There are two in some of the other images, so I suspect at least two were out there! Not sure if EZ's was the other one in the image or not.

It's a shame. It's a nice boat!

River is the North Branch of the Potomac, where were typically get together for the Armada (well, all but the last two years).

Nice easy fun run with a few nice play spots.

If you (or anyone else) are passing through the 12804 (Queensbury / Glens Falls / Lake George) area and want to check out boats or paddle just let me know! I can't always get away to paddle, but a boat test on flatwater is easy to work in (I'm right on the Hudson).

The Amoeba might restore booming enders to spectator venues.
