Slalom C-1 Needs Ride (MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!)

Does your boat need a lift? Find other CBoaters who can give your boat a lift! CBoats.net does not endorse any particular boater for transport, and obviously use your "gut" feeling of whether you want to transport your boat via a stranger. That said, literally dozens of boats have been moved safely and cheaply this way over the past few years!

Slalom C-1 Needs Ride (MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!)

Post by John Coraor »

Need a ride north from DC for a Slalom C-1. Eventual destination is Long Island, NY, but could arrange pick-up in another location as needed. (RIDE COMPLETED 5/21, THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED OR OFFERED TO DO SO!!!)

Two-step ride via the Armada?

Post by John Coraor »

As noted above, I'm trying to arrange transportation of a used slalom C-1 north from Davey Hearn in DC and thought the Armada might be a possible two-step answer.

Step 1: Is anyone heading to the Armada from DC that would have room on their racks for one more boat?

Step 2: Ditto for anyone returning home to the northeast from the Armada?

I live on Long Island, but could pick-up the boat from one of the upcoming NESS races, the June Esopus Slalom, or via other arrangements from someplace in the northeast.

Hi, John. I'll be going up to the armada after Davey's clinic on the 13th and should have room to shuttle your boat to there, as long as someone from the northeast can get it up to New York for you. Who else can help with the armada-to-New York leg?

KNeal

BTW, do you REALLY trust us to have possession of your boat before you have even had a chance to see it? Or are you simply using the risk/benefit option?

Boat Ride

Post by C1Dub »

John,

I'm going to the Armada this weekend and then to the Covered Bridge Slalom in Connecticut the following weekend. I can give your boat a ride to there if that works.
