cufly tricks?

so i've been in my robson for a while now and just starting to play a bit.
i got my front surf down some what and working on the back surf.
i need some info on other tricks and techniques.
i would like to learn bow and stern stalls,what is the secrets to them?, is it possible?
been looking for video footage of the cufly in action but no luck
bought the video "we designed them"
good video ,lots of spanish fly's and super fly's but not cufly's
learned a little bit from watching the video over and over again
i need help with other things to do,
lots of c1'ers around here and been watching them do tricks but not any oc1's .
anyone have any footage of the recent freestyle competition in AUS, heard there was a few oc1'ers there throwing down.

any help would be appreciated

One good way to learn flatwater tricks is to partially or totally deflate the flotation and put some water in the boat until you can do stalls, etc. As your technique improves you'll be able to do these tricks with less and less water in the boat. Not sure how much flatwater moves you can do in a CU fly but this might help...

I tried rolling my superfly with no airbags and ended up with a squirt boat.

The C.U.Fly is pretty fun. My "friends" have dubbed it the C U Swim...

I can bow stall it with hand paddles but can't quite stay there with a canoe paddle...

sweet picture
how did set that up?
paddle forward,double pump?
did you deflate the bags as everyone suggested?
what area are paddling in?
maybe we can get togethor and paddle

when i switched from kayak late last fall to oc1 it was the boat i got although not the greatest to learn in or begin in but it's coming along

The set up...

Be fond of food and drink(weigh 225 lbs.). With no forward motion, I can lean forward and into a bow stall. No deflation of bags necessary. Makes doing a low brace during real live river conditions interesting(to say the least).

Paddling in central KY, when it's running.

Canoeing has really screwed up my kayaking.

well i weigh the same ,so i have to give a few tries this weekend
how's your outfitting? just the thigh hooks or do you have straps too?
are you completeatly submearsed under water and braceing with the paddle?

I'm using all foam but I'm having trouble with my butt lifting off the seat when I'm upside down. I'm considering a lap belt. I use one in my Quake and really like it. Very secure. I'd rather not mess with a belt if I could get secure enough with foam.

When I'm in a bow stall, to get it vertical, I have to stick my head underwater(as in the picture). I can stall for a while with hand paddles but not so long with a canoe paddle.

Under normal HTML conditions, you type <img src=""> then go to the picture that you want to post(it must reside on the www, not just on your computer). Right click on the picture, click properties and copy the URL. Paste the URL between the ""''s in your <img src=""> That will usually get you there.

On this board, there is a bit of a trick. Put your cursor in front of your <img src""> and click the Img button(found just above your message page). Do the same behind the <img src="">

Always Preview before you post. If it doesn't show up in the preview, it won't show up in the post.

I think that's what it takes. I can't test it right now. My computer is in the shop and I'm at the library where they seem to dis-allow right clicking or copying and pasting.

Give it a try.
