WTB: Dagger C-1 Console

Any Boat, Gear, or outdoor related item you have for sale. If you use it on a paddling trip, or to prepare for one, it's fair game.

I can help you if you mean the guts out of a Dagger Cascade C-1. I think I may even have the foam center pillars. My first Cascade cracked around the skirt rim so I stripped the guts and buried the boat in the woods by the river. Where do you live, shipping may not be worth it?

I live in Oregon, USA............I actually am only interested in the console so hopefully shipping would not be too much. Assuming the console is in good shape I would like to purchase it if you are willing to sell. Let me know and thanks for the reply. Galen

another idea besides using a Dagger console

I would suggest building your conversion with the center rail from a kayak, THe yellow one from Liquid Logic are the best ones. Use minicell from Kayakoutfitters.com to lay down a long peice connecting the kayak walls together and then adding peices to the sides for the seat. You can use this same material to make the bulkhead if you like. For the thigh straps, run the webbing under the kayak rail  8)

I can send some pictures of the conversion of a "Sub 6" and a LL "Hoss" if you like. THe reason that I make this suggestion is so you will have less weight in your boat.

Regards,

Chuck

I'll take it to a UPS store and see what it would cost to ship it and get back to you. I'll plan on UPS ground from Georgia, USA.

I appreciate you taking the time to look into shipping. I can't imagine it would cost too much. For shipping purposes my zip code is 97702. Also, my email is galensparks@hotmail.com
Maybe we can work out payment info via (paypal or cashier's check)
email. Thanks again.

Chuck,

Appreciate your ideas............I would like to see photos if it wouldn't be too much trouble. I actually do have a LL rail that I may use when I set up my playboat. I would enjoy seeing how you set yours up. I'll have to admit though that I really like the Dagger Console for creek boats. Maybe I just admitted that I am currently lacking ingenuity!! I have the Dagger kit in my Pyranha H3 and have been quite pleased with its durability. I'm 6'4", 210 and I tend to break everything!! But you're probably right, if I spent a little time I could come up with something on my own.

Galen,

I e-mailed you pictures of what I perceive that you want. However, the shipping via UPS is absurd because of the size, the making of a special size cardboard box, and the distance. We are looking somewhere in the neighborhood of $225.00 U.S.

The weight is only around 10 lbs., but the size puts it into an oversize catagory with a 90 pound minimum. The part itself is 32 inches wide, 38 inches long, and 15 inches high.

If the pictures verify that this is what you want I will call DHL as Bill, (in a previous post), suggested. Maybe Bill could tell us how he packed the console.

Thanks,

Clay

Yeah, $225.- is quite a lot for shipping! Hopefully, there is a better (i.e. cheaper) method to ship. I bought a brand new console with thigh straps and enough foam to outfit several boats for $100.- last year to set up my other creek boat. But then again, I didn't have it shipped.

Hello Bill!! So how did you ship your last console? Wish I had known you were up around the Gauley a few months ago. It would have been fun to paddle together. I just got back out West from another season on the Gauley. Got to paddle the Upper Yough, Chattooga and Gauley (of course) while I was back that way.

Hi Galen

I made a box, which didn't look that great, wrapped it in plastic, since there were some open ends, but it worked out pretty well.

Give me a shout the next time you're in the area-

I saw a Bernie conversion at Gauley- it was really nice-
