outfitting for savage skeeter
by Richard West

I just bought a savage skeeter and am looking for some info. about outfitting. The boat has a foam saddle and thats it. What works best a factory saddle like a Dagger or a home made one? Also, should I use straps or a bulkhead and foot pegs? Thanks for any help.

bulkhead, by all means

Your Skeeter apparently came with an incomplete saddle. Savage's factory outfitting included foam pieces that fit on the sides of the saddle with holes cut in them for your knees. You can do this yourself with some extra minicell. The trick is cutting the foam to match the sides of your boat. If you can, look at the outfitting in a new Pyranna Spanish Fly to get an idea how to do it. I highly recommend this system over straps. It is much more secure and there's nothing to get tangled in. Good luck!
