Air bag repair
I had an accident with a canoe air bag. While I was driving, the fill hose elbow broke off where it attaches to the bag and and then the dump valve completely tore out of the bag. I rarely use the big valve so I was just planning on eliminating it, but I cannot track down a supplier to buy that dang elbow. I found the manufacturer(Halkey-Roberts), but they have a $250 minimum order. Even if I buy some spares, that still puts me at about $10. Any help or suggestions(other than buy a new bag!)? Thanks.
How about buying kayak float bags and using the nozzle from that? You can get voyager stern float bags for about $12 on Sierra Trading Post: http://www.sierratradingpost.com/produc ... seno=77519
Doesnt help with the drain plug ... but I suspect you can find a cheap air matress or something from American Tire (or whatever it is y'ins call the US equiv of Canadian Tire)....
I ordered the bags above, they're a great bargain IMO... even if you're going to rip off the valves.... given the fact that you can't find them anywhere else.
Good luck, Mike.

You're probably going to spend more time trying to repair it than just buying a new one. Ask yourself how much your time is worth-new float bags are about $50. Good luck, if you find some source with replacement parts let us all know though-as most float bags are junk anyway and are in need of constant repair.
